The DSC Conference gathers driving simulation specialists from the industrial and academic communities as well as commercial simulation providers. This 18th edition follows that of 2018, held in Antibes, France, with more than 300 participants and 30 exhibitors. Participants came from all around the world from about 20 different countries of Europe, America, Asia and Africa.
This year’s edition will be held in Strasbourg area, France with an extended professional exhibition. Topics will include state of the art in driving simulation technology, research and developments, extended with progressively merging virtual reality (VR) developments. This year program will also give an enlarged place for simulation tools for autonomous and connected vehicles along with advanced driving assistance system (ADAS) applications. Human factors and motion rendering nevertheless will remain the now traditional axis of the conference.
DSC 2019 Europe seeks original work and high-quality papers (and posters) in all areas related to driving simulation. Topics include, but are not limited to, simulation design and architecture, training and validation, perception and human factors, simulator sickness, ergonomics, driving behavior, virtual prototyping and industrial applications, vehicle/infrastructure design, advanced driver assistance systems, connected simulation, scenario modeling, authoring tools, traffic generation, motion cueing.
This year, a new industrial session is introduced, providing the opportunity to solution providers and industrials to present state-of-the-art solutions.
All contributions need to be submitted on-line or uploaded via the conference management system at https://www.conftool.com/dsc2019/.
Submitted abstracts are assessed by external reviewers and members of the Scientific Committee. If accepted, authors of scientific papers are required to complete the submission with Full Paper, Short Paper or Poster. Industrial Papers go through a one-phase review process.
Full and Short Papers, as well as Industrial Papers are peer-reviewed. In case of positive outcome, authors are required to address the reviewers’ comments in the final version of the papers, whatever the track (scientific or industrial). At least one author of each accepted paper must attend the conference and present their work in an oral presentation. A completed registration and payment is mandatory for final acceptance of your contribution and for inclusion in the conference program.
